Existing Auditor Recognition - General FAQs

For more general questions about IAQG Authentication, including impact on existing AABs and OASIS, please visit IAQG’s Authentication FAQ page.

How long do I have to complete the Existing Auditor Recognition process?

Section titled “How long do I have to complete the Existing Auditor Recognition process?”

The Existing Auditor Recognition window will open on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, and remain open until Thursday, 27 August 2026. All auditors who wish to continue conducting audits under the IAQG Certification Scheme must complete the online recognition application process during this time period. IAQG strongly encourages all impacted auditors to complete the process as quickly as possible to avoid any potential issues.

What will happen if my current authentication is set to expire within the Existing Auditor Recognition window?

Section titled “What will happen if my current authentication is set to expire within the Existing Auditor Recognition window?”

During the recognition window, IAQG will continue to honor all authentications active as of Thursday, 18 June 2026. However, to remain authenticated after this window, you must complete the online recognition process, including paying any applicable Annual Maintenance Fees (as further explained below).

I have already applied to my existing AAB for re-authentication or renewal. What should I do?

Section titled “I have already applied to my existing AAB for re-authentication or renewal. What should I do?”

If your authentication was set to expire on or before 18 June 2026, you need to complete the renewal or re-authentication process with an existing IAQG-authorized AAB. Please do so as soon as possible so your current AAB can make any required changes in OASIS prior to their AAB deadline on 18 June 2026.

If your authentication is set to expire after 18 June 2026, and you have already submitted your renewal or re-authentication application to an existing AAB, you may either continue the process as normal with this change reflected by your existing AAB, or cancel the process and be recognized through IAQG Authentication.

If I wish to add a new Authentication I do not have currently, can I do it as part of the Existing Auditor Recognition process?

Section titled “If I wish to add a new Authentication I do not have currently, can I do it as part of the Existing Auditor Recognition process?”

Not directly, as this process only supports recognition of existing authentications approved within OASIS. However, if the necessary requirements are met (including successful completion of the related IAQG Auditor Authentication Course/AATT requirements), auditors may apply for new authentications with IAQG Authentication after completing the recognition process. Newly approved authentications would take effect after the end of the OASIS Lockdown Period (in early September 2026). (Learn more about Auditor Authentication Requirements.)
